Apartments right next to a park sounds amazing. My friend lived in a parkside apartment in Wolli and we used to love watching the dogs playing when we visited.

It's close to transport so should have minimal impact on traffic. Dense infill housing is better for the environment and climate so I'd support it on those grounds alone. I live nearby across the train tracks, and the more apartments we have available, the less power my landlord has to put my rent up. I'd also like my friends to live closer and abundant housing would make it affordable for them to do so.

This looks like a very suitable development for the location and we should welcome it.

This looks like a great improvement on a vacant lot 500m from a new Metro station and across the road from a park, exactly what's needed in a housing crisis. It appears no trees will be cut down, which is great.

This development adds nothing to public or affordable housing in the residential area of Alexandria, causes immense overshadowing to up to 7 neighbouring houses, is on a narrow block, offers no parking (for 15 inhabitants) and will set a precedent in a street full of terraces opposite a conservation listed park in the most densely populated area of the country. The height would make it a an eyesore amidst a community of terraces and owner occupiers. Allowing this DA would only support greed for profit and allow other developers to do the same.
The 3x 5br apartments will most likely be rented as air b&b’s and not impact med density housing!!! Developers are trying to cash in on the 800m of a train station height allowance to maximise their returns. That’s all!
The community needs to wake up to some harsh realities and reject this DA. I really pity those developers with more money than sense, no conscience and no vision other than lining their own pockets as they search for loopholes. Wow. What an absolute disgrace! I reject the DA and the precedent it will set for the street and its members of the community.

Please approve, I want to live here! With a growing family it's so hard to find 3-bedroom apartments, and we're car-free like many families in the area, so would be very happy that they're not going to waste construction costs on car storage. However, I think an increase on the bike parking shown in the current plans is needed. Needs least 2 bike spaces per apartment, and some spaces should not be wall-mounted, to cater for heavier bikes and/or trailers for kids.

It's astounding that a 6 story development can be built on such a narrow block . It should be 3 storeys high at maximum to match the townhouses next door and retain the integrity of the streetscape. A higher building would ruin it. The height would even be a problem for the row of houses on the other side. Overshadowing and parking pressures would be detrimental to the surrounding properties.

This proposal looks fantastic and I strongly support it. I have friends and family in Alexandria and might like to move to the area if prices can come down with more much needed housing supply. It’s good to see some diverse housing like this, I’d like to move into something like it with a view of and connection to the street, rather than the expensive old terraces with a view of a mouldy wall. More of this should be fostered by council, the shadowing issues seems insignificant, the lack of parking is good to reduce cars and traffic in the area. I’m car free and love the option to save $50-100k on a property without a car space.
