I am writing to express my support for this application. Activating a longstanding vacant site to provide 33 new dwellings is a positive outcome for McKinnon.
A three-storey height limit is a moderate and sensible scale for this location, representing exactly the kind of "missing middle" housing that Melbourne needs right now. It allows for increased housing supply without the intensity of a high-rise tower.
Furthermore, utilizing a triple-block site for apartments is a much more efficient use of land than leaving it empty. The inclusion of basement parking is also a positive step to minimize impact on street parking. This appears to be a logical and well-situated development.
