Whitefriars School is forever purchasing and demolishing quality homes and increasing enrolments for families which come from as far away as Le Fevre Peninsula. The costs of extra traffic, blocked driveways, traffic jams and noise pollution are borne by residents of Woodville and Woodville Park. At present this application is for playing fields, but in future the improved ratio of open space to buildings on campus will facilitate extra enrolments which means more homes will go. The vicious cycle will repeat itself. It is time for CCS to think of their ratepayers rather than their quest for extra rate revenue. It is time also for the Woodville Ward councillors to likewise, think of the ratepayers who elected them and stand up for us.
