I strongly object to the removal of 13 trees from this land at 5 Langley Street Ringwood East.
My reasons for my objection:-
*Loss of safety for many insects, animals and birds.
* removal of so much foliage would mean the land would become a heat sink.
* the amount of water on this property and those on either side would be lost as most rainfall from the roof would be sent to storm water drains - even if tanks were installed.
*Loss of food for insects, animals and birds.
*Loss of biodiversity.
+A change in the character of the street. Maroondah’s Strategic and Sustainable Plans require all the above to be essential requirements.
*Currently, because of so much removal of canopy, there is an influx of Noisy Miner birds which are threatening our indigenous species at an astonishing rate.
I submit that land is far more valuable when canopy is present.
I have lived in Ringwood East for over 50 years.
Please respect and consider my objections.
Thank you,

Pam French
