Building a three-storey duplex apartment complex on this site will impact light to the established houses on either side of the proposed structure at 31 Barnsbury Grove, Dulwich Hill. Lower floors of 401 Marrickville Road will also be impacted. The alleged 'wedding cake' tiered design will not align with the heritage houses on the same side of the street. Barnsbury Grove has houses that date back, in some cases to the 1890s. More consideration for the street/area and it's architectural history would be preferable when considering new developments on Barnsbury Grove.
