A 20 and 18 storey apartment complex built above podium level parking is out of keeping with all the surrounding developments and for the area in general. This proposed development will tower over all other buildings in the area. What happened to the strict application of height limits so evident in all of the apartment complex developments in the area. The area is already suffering from over crowding, poorly managed parking in the surrounding streets and a lack of facilities, even though many of the newly developed apartments are not even occupied! As a soon to be resident I am concerned that the development of this height as proposed is out of all proportion to the surrounding developments.
