Conscious Combat Club Ltd has been a registered charity with DGR endorsement since 4 August 2023. CCC currently operates a dedicated trauma informed martial arts studio on Lithgow Street in Abbotsford. Since opening that facility, there have been no complaints from neighbours, and the victim survivors CCC works with have been delighted to learn martial arts in a built for purpose space. The subject land at 32–38 and 40–50 Rokeby Street, Collingwood, comprises commercial premises within a larger building complex in an established inner urban area. The proposal is for: Use of part of the building as a Restricted Recreation Facility (martial arts). Waiver of car parking requirements under Clause 52.06 associated with the change of use from existing commercial/warehouse to restricted recreation facility. Installation of a small business identification sign at the Rokeby Street entrance. No buildings and works are proposed.
