270 Birrell Street, Bondi NSW 2026
- Description
- Remove one (1) Eucalyptus nicholii (Narrow-leafed Peppermint) in the front yard, adjacent to the front fence and replace with one (1) medium-sized local native tree from Council’s Development Control Plan 2022, Annexure B3-2 Tree Canopy Replacement Planting List, of minimum 45L pot size, anywhere on the property, within one (1) month of removal. This tree lost a large branch in March 2025, its health and condition has since worsened. Over approximately one (1) year the tree's canopy has thinned and died by approximately a third. Pruning this dead section of the canopy will unbalance the tree increasing windthrow while exposing the rest of the tree's canopy to coastal winds. Although pruning will delay the tree's decline it presents it as a potential hazard should additional larger branches die and fail. This tree is towards the end of its Useful Life Expectancy and should be removed.
