10 Belgrave Street, Bronte NSW 2024
- Description
- Remove one (1) Schinus ariera (Peppercorn) T1, one (1) Murraya paniculata (Orange jessamine) hedge T2, one (1) Murraya paniculata (Orange jessamine) tree T3, one (1) Camellia sasanqua (Camellia) T4, one (1) Camellia japonica (Camellia) T5 on the rear setback and remove one (1) Leptospermum petersonii (Lemon Scented Gum) T9 on the western setback and replace with two (2) medium-sized trees, one (1) small-sized local native tree, and one (1) local native hedge from Council’s Development Control Plan 2022, Annexure B3-2 Tree Canopy Replacement Planting List, of minimum 45L pot size, anywhere on the property, within one (1) month of removal. T1 - Peppercorn: At the time of inspection this tree was in fair health and structure with trunk and branch decay, deadwood, and mostly epicormic shoots forming the canopy which present an unacceptable level of risk should the tree or any of its parts fail. This tree is at the end of its Useful Life Expectancy (ULE). T2 - Murraya: At the time of inspection this hedge was in good health and structure however approximately half the hedge is within the threshold for a Complying Development and will be removed, leaving approximately two specimens. It is recommended that the entire hedge is removed and replaced to ensure consistency with the new hedge. T3 - Murraya & T4 Camelia & T5 Camellia This small tree was initially maintained as a small rounded shrub however it has not been maintained as such resulting in it having poor structure. This exotic species contributes minimally to biodiversity, environmental amenity and cooling and should be removed and replaced. T9 - Leptospermum petersonii (Lemon-Scented Tea-Tree) This tree has grown tall and skinny to access sunlight. It has a sparse woody canopy that has likely been impacted by salt-laden coastal winds as it is an exposed sole specimen with no surrounding trees.
