In general I support this application, with the exception of parking - 4 spaces, that can't be right for 34 apartments? Parking in this area is already extremely difficult, with only 2 areas - above and opposite Woolworths Metro. Even though the proposed development is close to a railway station, many people will still need cars depending on their situations. An influx of cars seeking parking in the neighbouring streets will make parking very difficult for food & grocery shoppers and impact local residents.
Apart from that the design looks original and although I'm sad about more single storied houses being replaced by high rise, at least this proposal looks like it might hopefully be a quality development, unlike most of the crappy cheap & tacky apartments that the Council has previously approved in Marrickville & Sydenham
