This residence is located in a high density housing estate full of families and children. It is metres from a playground and community sporting facilities. I do not feel comfortable with such a permit being granted. The estate has had many repeat crime offences occur and it is not safe to participate in a firearms operations in a residential estate. No amount of security would ease this concern. The Mayfield estate is not appropriate for such operations and due to the nature and concern, prefer to remain anonymous.

I have to agree with the earlier comment.
This is located in a high density housing estate full of families and children.
It is metres from a playground and community sporting facilities, not to mention a primary school, childcare and kindergarten not too far. I do not feel comfortable with such a permit being granted.
The estate and entire area has had many repeat crime offences occur, it is not safe to participate in a firearms operations in a residential estate.
No amount of security would ease this concern.
The Mayfield estate, or a
High density residential area is not appropriate for such operations.
This area is well-known to Police, due to alot of local crimes and is already creating unease and safety concerns for local residents. Children walk past this residence on a daily basis, to walk to the school 500m away, and to access a local playground 100 metres down the road. This residence is on a high-traffic road (main entrance), and at the first and most prominent roundabout at the entrance of the Mayfield/Livingston estate. There is no benefit to the community, and will only increase crime. Guns do not belong in our family neighbourhood. This residence also has children on site, not an appropriate 'family business'. There are welfare and safety concerns about that.
I believe there is no value to approving this application. As noted, the area is dense with residential population, and the property itself has line-of-sight to a community playground. I believe this in an inappropriate location for this approval.
