Parramatta Council keeps on allowing Developers to make a historical city like Parramatta a cement jungle! High rise buildings that rob us of sunshine and blue skies. Established trees being cut down, robbing birds and possums and insects of their homes. Increasing the temperature and cement dust all around. These tall buildings are also deadly to birds who fly into the glass windows that reflect the sky. They crash into the glass and then die. Why pretend to care about the environment and make a show of planting trees that will take years to grow tall enough to provide shade and homes for birds and insects and possums etc? It is all a performance while green lighting Developers to keep on filling their coffers so they can buy the next Porsche! Providing homes?? Yep so buyers - from overseas and wealthy investors can buy these apartments. First home buyers cannot compete with developers and investors! It is all a business plan and the people who lose out are wildlife and local residents who pay rates. Bet those who give approval don’t live next to high rise buildings? The traffic chaos will increase too! Parramatta Council is trying to create another Hong Kong. Is there anyone in Council that has the courage to stop the overdevelopment of Parramatta and destruction of established trees and stop our blue skies being spoilt by ugly high rise buildings that are also deadly to birds as they fly into the glass that reflects the sky?? So nature loses again!
