On the southern side of the trunk there was a cavity approximately 20cm long by 5cm wide and 5-10cm deep with signs of white rot, as well as borer as a secondary symptom. While there was reaction wood around the cavity, the depth and overall size of the hollow render this tree as having an unsuitable level of risk as the full extent of the decay could not be determined by the Visual Tree Assessment.
